Experimental Study of Effluent Salty Wastewater Treatment from a Solar Desalination Pond

نویسندگان

چکیده

In this research, the quality of wastewater discharged into environment has been investigated. The effluent from solar desalination pond contains large amounts TDS (3.68 grams per liter) and TH (6.50 liter). Since use filter is not economical in case, three types commercial coagulants such as aluminum sulfate, ferric chloride sulfide have used study. main parameters effectiveness inorganic coagulants, ammonium chloride, which separately help to remove hardness, studied. According results, using laboratory test, 25/g sulfate coagulant best mass ratio 4 3 for auxiliary (sodium carbonate sodium hydroxide) will be ratio. Also, mixing rate 120 rpm first reactor give speed. These conditions lead 0.348 liter TDS, 0.345 0.195 calcium hardness 300 micro Siemens electrical conductivity purified sample.

Solar photocatalysis of a recalcitrant coloured effluent from a wastewater treatment plant.

A photocatalytic study of a coloured effluent from a wastewater treatment plant was carried out in a pilot plant using compound parabolic collectors (CPC) in order to find out the best conditions for colour removal, since the discharge limit for this parameter is not achieved after conventional wastewater treatment. The interaction between ultraviolet natural radiation and TiO(2) strongly enhan...

A Study on Membrane Bioreactor for Water Reuse from the Effluent of Industrial Town Wastewater Treatment Plant

Background: Considering the toxic effects of heavy metals and microbial pathogens in industrial wastewaters, it is necessary to treat metal and microbial contaminated wastewater prior to disposal in the environment. The purpose of this study is to assess the removal of heavy metals pollution and microbial contamination from a mixture of municipal and industrial wastewater using membrane biorea...

An experimental study of solar thermal vacuum membrane distillation desalination

An experimental desalination system coupling a vacuum membrane distillation (VMD) unit and a vacuum tube solar heat collection (SHC) unit was developed and tested. The parametric sensitivity of the VMD unit performance was investigated first using an electric heater as the heat source, and then the whole system was examined using solar heat. It was revealed that hot feed temperatures higher tha...
